Randolph Scott

Virginia-born actor, Randolph Scott, preferred the Western movie script to all other films he was offered. Beginning in 1947, and until he officially retired from the business in 1962, Mr. Scott only appeared in Western movies! Scott1s lengthy and highly successful career included 100 films, more than 60 of which were Westerns! Today, Mr. Scott is best remembered for his Budd Boetticher-directed movies, i.e., "Seven Men From Now" (1956), "The Tall T" (1957), "Decision At Sundown" (1957), "Buchanan Rides Alone" (1958), "Ride Lonesome" (1959), "Westbound" (1959), and "Comanche Station" (1960), and Scott's final release in 1962, "Ride The High Country", with director Sam Peckinpah. It just doesn't get ant better than these titles.
